Pottawatomie County Rural Water District 2 is no longer operating under the Water Conservation Plan as the emergency leak was repaired as of today, 9/6/2026. Thank you for everyone doing their part!

Original: Pottawatomie County Rural Water District 2 is under Conserve Water Status on September 5, 2026 until further notice. Please stay safe and cool during these heat warning events while conserving as much water as possible.

This is notice that there will be an additional meeting in September: Special Meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 7PM on 309 Second St, Olsburg, KS 66520 to discuss the resignation of the current District Manager, Marcelino, and plan development for job opening. 

Board Monthly Meetings are still on schedule as per normal.

This is notice that August's Month Board Meeting for Pottawatomie County Rural Water District 2 has been rescheduled from Monday, August 17, 2026 to Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Same time, 7PM, and location, 309 Second St, Olsburg, KS, 66520. 

Monthly Board Meetings will resume to the third Monday of the month per normal after August. Thank you in advance.

Cedar Creek Rd/Spillway Marina Area (Manhattan)

There was an emergency main break on Highway 13 that feeds the Cedar Creek Rd and Spillway Marina Area; it was repaired twice to no avail on July 29, 2026, and waiting on a new replacement to complete the repair; expected completion: morning of July 30, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience, but I assure that we are working on it as best as we can.

Compensation for leak reporting has increased

As approved by the board at the September meeting, the compensation for leak reporting has been increased.

Previously set at $25.00, the compensation amount has been raised to $45.00. 

Compensation for leak reporting may be credited to your account or paid out in check at your discretion.

Thank you to the coummunity and our customers for all your assistance in our efforts to resolve leaks and provide better service.

*This cannot be retroactivly applied to previous reporting.
